The International Arbitration Association (IAA) at Penn Law will host the Contemporary Issues & Emerging Trends in International Arbitration Conference on March 27, 2017 between 9am-8pm.

Grant Hanessian, chair of Baker McKenzie’s  International Arbitration Group in North America will participate at the panel discussing the future of international arbitration in a Trump and Brexit Era and its impact on the other Seats with other legal and political developments.

The event will also hold other four panel discussions on the following topics:

  • Women in International Arbitration.
  • Complexities of diversity in International Arbitration and ways to reconcile different practices.
  • Enforcement issues in International Arbitration [Yukos Case] including post annulment enforcement.
  • Conflict of interest in international arbitration in the context of third party funding.

This program has been approved for 7.0 total CLE credits for Pennsylvania lawyers (6.0 substantive, 1.0 ethics). CLE credit may be available in other jurisdictions as well. Attendees seeking CLE credit should bring separate payment in the amount of $280.00 ($140.00 public interest/non-profit attorneys) cash or check made payable to The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania.
